This Privacy Policy explains what information LiveGood.Coach (the “Service”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It reflects how the Service actually works today.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Authentication is handled by our own systems, running on infrastructure we operate — there is no third-party authentication provider. We never store your password in plain text; we store only a salted cryptographic hash of it. Your email address is normalized (trimmed and lowercased) so each address maps to a single account.

Profile information and avatar

You may add profile details (such as a display name, LiveGood username, bio, and links) and optionally upload an avatar image. Uploaded images are stored on our own servers (the infrastructure we operate), not a third-party storage provider. Information you choose to display on a public profile or affiliate listing will be visible to others.

Approximate location (optional, opt-in)

The affiliate map feature uses location only if you opt in. When enabled, we store an approximate, obfuscated location — rounded to roughly a one-kilometer area — so you can appear on the map near your region. We never store or display your exact coordinates. You can turn this off and remove your map listing at any time in your settings.

Quiz and learning activity

When you take training quizzes, we record your activity and results (such as scores and completion) to power your progress, certificates, and the leaderboard.

AI Coach messages

When you use the AI Coach, the messages you send and the conversation context are processed by a third-party AI model provider, Anthropic, in order to generate responses. We send only what is needed to answer your request. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat. Anthropic’s handling of that data is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies for essential purposes — keeping you signed in (authentication) and remembering your theme preference (light/dark). These are necessary for the Service to function. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

How We Use Information

  • To provide, maintain, secure, and operate the Service.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To display features you enable, such as your public profile, map listing, quiz progress, and leaderboard standing.
  • To generate AI Coach responses to your requests.
  • To communicate with you about your account and the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. The Service runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves, so your account, profile, location, and quiz data are not shared with a third-party hosting, authentication, or storage provider. The limited third parties that receive data are: Anthropic — which processes the messages and context you send to the AI Coach, only when you use it, to generate responses; and, when you load the affiliate map, the map-tile providers (such as MapTiler or CARTO) your browser requests map imagery from, which receive standard request metadata such as your IP address. Information you choose to make public (for example, a public profile or opt-in map listing) is visible to others. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required for legitimate business or legal purposes. [Specify retention periods.] When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Update or correct your profile information at any time in settings.
  • Opt out of location sharing and remove your map listing at any time.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
